"The increasing shortage of skilled workers requires further simplification of automation and programming - especially for small and medium-sized companies that perceive complexity as a major obstacle to implementing robotic automation," emphasizes Marc Segura, Head of ABB Robotics. "AppStudio is suitable for both beginners and experts and is a valuable addition to ABB's software portfolio. With the new solution, users can create user interfaces for robots more easily, save a lot of time during setup and integrate robots quickly and seamlessly into a wide variety of applications."

AppStudio is compatible with all ABB robots running on the OmniCore control platform and offers unprecedented flexibility and simplicity in the creation of customized graphical user interfaces for robots. After installing the software, users can reuse a previously used setup or select templates, models, building blocks and examples from a cloud-based library - in twenty available languages. In addition, individual user interfaces can be created for any device and application, including the OmniCore FlexPendant handheld operating device, tablets and cell phones.
