Willem van Sambek also Managing Director of Paccar Financial Germany
For Willem van Sambeek, the new dual role as Managing Director is a logical consequence. After all, whether a logistics company rents, leases or finances plays a subordinate role for him - as long as it is a DAF. The economics graduate likes to formulate his goals in concrete figures, for example: "20 percent of the vehicles sold by DAF in Germany in 2018 are to be financed via PACCAR Financial."
The logic of the dual role is inherent in the corporate structure. PACCAR Leasing GmbH (PacLease) and PACCAR Financial Deutschland GmbH are subsidiaries of PACCAR Financial Europe. With the closer integration, also in terms of personnel, PACCAR is responding to an international trend that has now also reached Germany: "More and more entrepreneurs are primarily interested in what the vehicle costs per kilometer. Predictable costs with as little risk as possible - these are the variables that are taken into account and for which we can offer flexible solutions with PacLease and PACCAR Financial," says Willem van Sambeek.
Willem van Sambeek started at PACCAR Parts twelve years ago. After three years in Controlling, he took over the position of Director Operations in 2008. He has been Managing Director of PacLease since the end of 2014. He has now become accustomed to his new role at two locations. Since July 2017, he has been commuting between PacLease in Dieburg and PACCAR Financial Germany in Frechen or traveling on business trips to customers, dealers and DAF headquarters in Eindhoven. red
