Sedran takes over as Chairman of the Board of Management of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles
Wolfsburg/Hanover, 10.07.2018 - With effect from September 1, Dr. Thomas Sedran will take over as Chairman of the Board of Management of the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles brand. The current Head of General Secretariat and Group Strategy at Volkswagen AG will succeed Dr. Eckhard Scholz, who is stepping down at his own request.
Sedran worked as a management consultant from 1988 to 2012 - including for Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. He was then responsible for the automotive industry division of the management consultancy AlixPartners as Managing Director. In 2012, Sedran was appointed Member of the Board of Management of Adam Opel AG for Strategy and Operations and Interim CEO, and from July 2013 he was responsible for the Chevrolet and Cadillac brands in Europe as President and Managing Director. Sedran has been working for Volkswagen since 2015. mm
