Seaports of Niedersachsen: Timo Schön leaves
Timo Schön, Managing Director of Seaports of Niedersachsen, has informed the company's Supervisory Board that he would like to pursue a new professional challenge. He will leave the marketing organization of the seaports of Niedersachsen on 30 May 2020. The Supervisory Board of Seaports of Niedersachsen and the Lower Saxony port industry have taken note of this decision with regret.
According to his own statements, Timo Schön, who took over as Managing Director at the beginning of August 2018, will devote himself to a new professional challenge in Lower Saxony. The Supervisory Board will decide in the near future how to proceed with the succession planning. A corresponding job advertisement for his successor will be published shortly.
As a port marketing company, Seaports of Niedersachsen GmbH represents the nine seaports of Niedersachsen with their port handling companies, supra-regionally active logistics networks and specialists for logistics services. Seaports of Niedersachsen communicates the diverse services of Lower Saxony's seaport locations on the global market. This also includes advising potential customers as well as bundling and forwarding inquiries to the associated port operating and infrastructure companies. The company is financially supported by the state of Lower Saxony and the private port industry.
