New Head of Intralogistics Systems at Vollert
Tobias Zimmer has been in charge of the Intralogistics Systems division at plant specialist Vollert since the beginning of July 2024. With his previous career in several management positions, he will play a central role in the further development of the intralogistics specialist.
"Tobias Zimmer has proven that he can lead teams and achieve demonstrable success through innovative new approaches. With his extensive experience and his approach, he will make a significant contribution to further expanding our market position, developing new concepts for our customers and achieving our growth targets," says Hans-Jörg Vollert, Managing Partner of Vollert Anlagenbau GmbH.
Zimmer has big plans that he would like to realize in his new position: "I would describe myself as a strategic designer who likes to lead the way and motivate his team to break new ground together," says Tobias Zimmer. "We have set ourselves important strategic goals for the coming years in order to further expand our technological leadership in intralogistics solutions for heavy loads and large workpieces. A key issue is expanding our market share by rethinking the life cycles of our system concepts. The total cost of ownership is our key indicator here." Zimmer also mentions global expansion as a further focus.
"I am very much looking forward to the new challenge and to taking the next steps in expanding the business area together with our strong team of sales and development engineers. There are exciting projects and great opportunities ahead of us that we will exploit together in the future."
