New Chief Operating Officer at BLG
On January 1, 2025, the Supervisory Board of the BLG Group appoints Axel Krichel to the Board of Management as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) for both the Automotive and Contract divisions. He succeeds Matthias Magnor, who is moving to the top of the BLG Group as Chairman of the Board of Management.
Krichel was most recently a member of the management board at Kuehne + Nagel and was responsible for all contract logistics in the DACH region. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President (SVP) for Operations & Customer Excellence Logistics in Europe and SVP for a major customer in the aerospace sector, also at Kuehne + Nagel. He has also held management positions at Schenker and DHL, among others.
"With Axel Krichel, we are gaining an extremely experienced manager for the Board of Management of the BLG Group, who has been at home in the industry for many years," says Dr. Klaus Meier, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Bremer Lagerhaus-Ggesellschaft -Aktiengesellschaft von 1877-, and emphasizes: "His strategic expertise and extensive knowledge of the international logistics market will help BLG to further expand its position in the two business areas of Automobile and Contract in Germany, Europe and the world. The Supervisory Board and the entire Board of Management are looking forward to working with him."
