Manuel Schrapers becomes new CEO of the Metroplan Eastern Europe Group
After more than 36 years at Metroplan, the current Managing Director and CEO Ulrich Dantzer is retiring at the end of the year. From May 2021, Dr. Manuel Schrapers will gradually take over the role of Group CEO of Metroplan Eastern Europe, which employs staff in Western and Eastern Europe and China with its branches, JV partners and membership of one of the largest project development groups for industrial and logistics real estate. Dr. Schrapers has expertise in the location search and site development of supplier plants in the automotive and construction supply industry.
In the meantime, Schrapers has successfully identified, planned and realized numerous plant/logistics locations in Europe, Russia, Africa, America and China, mainly due to his time at the DAX company Leoni. "As a civil engineer, the manager has the necessary technical expertise in plant, industrial and logistics planning and his international MBA and Dr. BA education enables him to competently implement strategic construction and real estate management in accordance with German construction quality for Metroplan customers on the path to globalization and to sustainably implement operations and logistics footprint projects," writes his new employer.
