Management change at Dachser European Logistics Iberia
Celestino Silva will head the Dachser Business Unit European Logistics (EL) Iberia as Managing Director. The long-standing head of the "West Iberia" region succeeds Juan Quintana.
Silva began his career over 20 years ago at Azkar, the predecessor of Dachser EL Iberia. After the acquisition by Dachser, he was responsible for the successful integration of the overland transport organizations in Portugal. Since 2014, he has also been responsible for Dachser's business in the north-western Spanish autonomous community of Galicia.
"Celestino Silva is a successful manager with many years of experience who knows the company and its processes as well as the Iberian market in detail," says Michael Schilling, COO Road Logistics at Dachser. "He has been closely involved in the successful transformation process of our Iberian business unit from the very beginning and will continue to integrate the unit into the European Dachser network." His predecessor Juan Quintana is leaving the company at his own request to pursue new professional challenges. Under his leadership, Dachser EL Iberia has successfully repositioned its business model since 2013.
