Valeria Gargiulo (50) joins KION from Daimler Truck AG and will take up her position as Chief People and Sustainability Officer in Frankfurt/Main from May 1, 2023 at the latest. She will also assume the role of Labor Director. Gargiulo's responsibilities at KION include the Group-wide areas of HR, health and safety and sustainability. As Chief Human Resources Officer, Gargiulo will focus, among other things, on attracting and intensively developing talent for the intralogistics group worldwide, equipping internal teams with all the necessary skills and further promoting a diverse, equal and inclusive culture that encourages employee engagement and unlocks their long-term potential. At Daimler Trucks, she is Vice President People & Organizational Development. With around 30 years of experience in HR, sales, legal and M&A, she brings extensive international experience and an excellent track record in organizational development - including the trustful relationship with social partners. As an active member of the ESG Steering Committee, she is also instrumental in developing and implementing a progressive sustainability vision for her current employer. Based on her many years of experience in the areas of environmental, social and responsible corporate governance, she will strengthen KION's sustainability profile, significantly increase its transparency and implement appropriate measures in a targeted manner.
