Karin Rådström takes over management of Mercedes-Benz Trucks
Karin Rådström has been appointed member of the Board of Management of Daimler Truck AG, responsible for Mercedes-Benz Trucks, with effect from May 1, 2021. She succeeds Stefan Buchner, who - as previously announced - has decided to retire after more than 30 years with the company.
"We are delighted to welcome Karin to our global leadership team. She has
broad international experience in the commercial vehicle industry and great success in building a customer-oriented sales organization and the associated brand presence," said Martin Daum, Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler Truck AG and member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG. Karin Rådström comes from Scania, where she has been responsible for Sales and Marketing as a member of the Board of Management since 2019.
Swedish-born Rådström joined Scania as a trainee in 2004 after completing her Master of Engineering in Industrial Management at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Since 2007, she has held various senior positions within Scania's sales and service organization, including leading the company's bus business and building the digital and connected vehicle business.
