HPC expands digital expertise
Jan Bovermann, Head of Digital Business Development at Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG (HHLA), was appointed to the management board of management consultancy HPC Hamburg Port Consulting GmbH on October 1. Together with Dr. Felix Kasiske, he will head the wholly-owned HHLA subsidiary.
"Jan Bovermann has played a key role in the development of HHLA's digitalization strategy. Under his leadership, numerous forward-looking projects, cooperations and partnerships have been launched," says Angela Titzrath, Chairwoman of HHLA's Executive Board and Chairwoman of HPC's Supervisory Board. HPC has been advising on maritime and intermodal transportation for over 40 years and, according to the company, is now one of the world's leading full-service providers in this sector. Its range of services includes the planning, design and commissioning of seaport and intermodal logistics facilities, port management, feasibility, profitability and financial analyses, privatization, engineering services and IT solutions.
Kasiske will continue to be responsible for HPC's core business of port and transport consulting, while Bovermann will drive forward the expansion of digital expertise. The new HPC Managing Director will continue his role at HHLA as Head of Digital Corporate Development. Bovermann has been responsible for HHLA's digital corporate strategy since August 2017. Prior to this, he gained experience at international consulting companies in advising transport companies and as a managing director in logistics. He holds a master's degree in economics and law.
