Hellmann: Christa Stienen becomes Chief HR Officer
The global full-service provider Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has appointed Christa Stienen as Chief HR Officer as of August 1.
Stienen succeeds Claudio Gerring, who passed away in December 2020 after a short and serious illness, much to the regret of the workforce. Gerring had passionately shaped the HR department at Hellmann over the past 19 years and significantly developed it through his commitment. As an HR expert, Christa Stienen can look back on 30 years of experience in various management positions in Germany and abroad. Her focus was particularly on the areas of personnel development and the establishment of global HR structures. After working for the Metro Group and Daiichi Sankyo Europe GmbH, she took over the position of Senior Vice President Corporate HR at Lufthansa Service Holding AG in 2014. In recent years, Christa Stienen was responsible for HR policy for the Germany/Switzerland cluster as Chief Human Resources Officer at DB Schenker.
"We are delighted to have gained Ms. Stienen as Head of HR, who will continue to drive forward our global HR policy as an integrative part of management and, together with her team, will implement our diverse strategic goals on the HR side. Our employees and corporate culture are the pillars of our success, which is why we also need strong and emphatic leadership in HR management," says Reiner Heiken, Chief Executive Officer, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics.
