Predecessor takes over VGSG management
Gerrit Starke new Head of Sales Germany at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles
Job rotation in sales at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWN): Gerrit Starke, previously Managing Director of Volkswagen Gebrauchtfahrzeughandels und Service GmbH (VGSG), is taking over as Head of Sales Germany for the commercial vehicle brand. His predecessor Alban Steinmann will in future be responsible for the marketing of young used VWN vehicles as Managing Director of VGSG.

Gerrit Starke has a degree in economics and has been with the Volkswagen Group for 22 years. Between 1998 and 2011, he was responsible for various projects at VWN, including in finance, product management and product planning. He also headed the brand's General Secretariat between 2007 and 2009. In 2011, Starke moved to a responsible position in sales management and analysis at the Volkswagen Group before taking over as Head of Sales Management at VWN in 2012. Starke has been Managing Director of VGSG since July 2018.
Alban Steinmann, who holds a degree in business administration, has been with the Volkswagen Group since 2002, initially in Group marketing for international key accounts, after which he was responsible for the Group's international key account management. After moving to VWN, he built up the small commercial target group business and was Regional Head of Southern Germany before taking over as Head of Sales Germany in 2018.
