Renault Trucks has had its own operational structure in Germany since January 1. The newly appointed Managing Director Frederic Ruesche will work with a management team that has also been reorganized.

The operational separation of Renault Trucks and Volvo Trucks and the independent positioning of Renault Trucks on the German market from January 1, 2020, will sharpen the brand's profile. The workshop network will not be affected by this; all workshops will continue to offer services for both brands.

Frederic Ruesche, who was appointed Managing Director for the German market on January 1, 2020, began his career at Renault Trucks and has worked in the Volvo Group for almost 20 years in various sales positions. Most recently, Ruesche was Managing Director for Volvo Construction Equipment in Korea. "I am looking forward to facing the challenges of the German market with my Renault Trucks team and being able to offer our customers the perfect transport solutions," says Ruesche.

Christophe Chardin, who has been working in the industry for over 20 years, will become Director of Sales. Among other things, Chardin was responsible for key accounts at Renault Trucks and then spent more than ten years as managing director of a private Renault Trucks dealer.

The brands, which previously operated together, will also operate separately in other European markets in future. A joint press release from the headquarters in Lyon and Gothenburg states: "We are convinced that brand-specific market teams will further increase the success of our customers. With the new organization, we are better prepared for future challenges and can pursue our business ambitions in a more efficient and targeted manner".
