There will be changes in the management of Gebrüder Weiss: Heinz Senger-Weiss will step down as Managing Director at the end of the year for personal reasons. In addition, Dr. Lothar Thoma will start at Gebrüder Weiss in the Air & Sea division on September 1st.
Heinz Senger-Weiss (44), Managing Director Air & Sea, announces his resignation from the operational management of Gebrüder Weiss as of December 31 of this year. "We respect Heinz Senger-Weiss' decision and thank him for his commitment to the company. He has successfully helped shape the development of Gebrüder Weiss for 20 years, 15 of which as a member of the management board, and has had a lasting impact on the orange corporate culture," says Dr. Rudolf Christian Stiehl, Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Gebrüder Weiss. After various international activities, Heinz Senger-Weiss took over the position of Regional Managing Director Air & Sea at Gebrüder Weiss in 2003 and moved to the management board in 2005.
At the beginning of September, Dr. Lothar Thoma (52) will also take up his position at Gebrüder Weiss in the Air & Sea division. Thoma has more than 20 years of experience in the logistics industry and was most recently responsible for the overall business of an international logistics group as CEO. "With Dr. Lothar Thoma, an experienced logistics expert is coming on board who, thanks to his international management expertise, has all the prerequisites for managing the Air & Sea division at Gebrüder Weiss," says Dr. Stiehl
