Persons: Board member Andreas Klein leaves Schmitz Cargobull

Horstmar, 12.03.2018 - Andreas Klein, Chief Operations Officer since January 2015, is to leave Schmitz Cargobull AG. The mandate for the graduate mechanical engineer was terminated by mutual agreement by the company's Supervisory Board in March 2018.

In a close exchange between the Supervisory Board and the Management Board, both sides came to the conclusion that there were different ideas regarding the implementation of the strategic and operational goals of the production network. "We would like to thank Andreas Klein for his first-class work and his dedicated commitment - particularly with regard to the introduction of product line management, the management of the plants and their alignment for sustainable, successful development," said Professor Dr. Jürgen Kluge, Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

Andreas Klein (51) joined Schmitz Cargobull AG in January 2015 as Chief Operations Officer from the ZF Lemförder Group, where he had headed the regional division Passenger Car Axle Systems Asia Pacific. As part of Strategy 2025, the expansion of the Schmitz Cargobull production network with decentralized multi-production plants directly in the sales markets was a focus of his work. In order to be able to assemble the different vehicles in the plants, the technical prerequisites had to be created. This required the standardization of products and processes. Andreas Klein has set the first milestones in this field in recent years. The Supervisory Board thanked Andreas Klein for his work and wished him continued success for his professional and personal future. red
