Three new members on the Supervisory Board of Schmitz Cargobull

Horstmar, February 3, 2018 - As part of a planned succession plan, three new members were elected at the Extraordinary General Meeting of Schmitz Cargobull AG. Peter Schmitz, Robin J. Stalker and Thomas Schwier will succeed Dr. Kunibert Schmidt, Dr. Alexander Winkels and Karl Röhricht on the Supervisory Board.
Following his retirement as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Schmitz Cargobull AG in mid-2013, Peter Schmitz will once again be available for the future direction of the company. The former CEO and member of the Management Board responsible for Technology and Research and Development will thus represent another member of the three Schmitz Cargobull family lines on the Supervisory Board. Peter Schmitz succeeds Dr. Kunibert Schmidt. After more than seven years on the Supervisory Board of Schmitz Cargobull, Dr. Kunibert Schmidt will retire.
Robin J. Stalker is the second new member of the Supervisory Board. After studying business administration at Massey University in New Zealand, Robin Stalker began his professional career in 1982 as a chartered accountant with the auditing firm Arthur Young (now EY) in New Zealand and London. He then held various finance and controlling positions in the entertainment industry in Asia and the United States, including at United International Pictures and Warner Bros. International. In 1996, Robin J. Stalker moved to adidas AG, where he was appointed to the Executive Board in 2001 and was responsible for Finance. In 2002, he was also appointed Labor Director. He remained a member of the Executive Board of adidas AG until his retirement in May 2017. Robin J Stalker is also on the Supervisory Board of Schaeffler AG, where he is a member of the Audit Committee. He will take over Dr. Winkels' functions as Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Head of the Finance and Audit Committee. Dr. Alexander Winkels is a founding member of the Supervisory Board of Schmitz Cargobull and was active there for 18 years. He will devote himself to new tasks in the future.
Thomas Schwier replaces Works Council Chairman Karl Röhricht, who has retired for reasons of age. Thomas Schwier has already been Deputy Chairman of the Works Council at the competence center for saddle curtainsiders in Altenberge for several years. Professor Dr. Jürgen Kluge will continue to chair the Supervisory Board. The other members of the Supervisory Board are: Heinz Pfeffer, Volker Flatau, Wolfgang Fritsch-Albert, Hans-Joachim Hebing, Dirk Hoffmann, Thomas Meißner, Yvonne Seggewiss and Dietrich Zaps. red
