The column from Intra Logistik
Times of dominion!

When LogiMAT closes its doors at 5 p.m. on March 15 and the diesel forklifts take away the sustainable, energy-efficient, ergonomic and whatnot exhibits, the trade fair organizers' calculators will have been smoking since 4:59 p.m. at the latest. Or the corks are popping. Or both.
First, the LogiMAT people calculate their - of course! - record figures: the most visitors of all time. The most exhibitors of all time. The most square meters ever. The most decision-makers among the visitors. Of all time. Most exhibitors from abroad. Of all time. The most visitors from abroad, the shortest distance from the exhibition grounds to the airport, the longest traffic jams in front of the parking garage. Everything of all time. As if we hadn't already suspected all these records beforehand! Or why should this year be any different than usual? And how can you verify that?
Then there are those in Hanover who quickly recalculate everything with a sharp pencil: We are the world's leading trade fair, mimimimimi! Because: Measured by the proportion of those who can spell logistics, intranet and software in three languages, we have the most exhibitors, synergetically speaking. And we are even better in all other respects, which is why we call ourselves the world's leading trade fair. Of all time!
"No one is itching for a male ballet. Except maybe fair men."
Times of domination! Who, apart from trade fair men, cares about all this? This is male ballet in its purest form! Who needs that? Now I'll ask you directly, dear exhibitors and trade fair visitors: Do you like this record-breaking fuss? Is that why you're booking one square meter more next time? Is that why you will visit one more stand? Please tell me. Please! Because in my little world, that doesn't really matter. I'm going to LogiMAT because I want to see warehouse logistics. And I'm going to Hanover because I want to see industrial logistics. Because anyone who believes that industry works without logistics also believes that they weigh less when they tuck their stomach in on the scales.
