LogiMAT cancellation: decision on Monday evening?

The traffic light is "green" as far as the LogiMAT trade fair in Stuttgart from March 10 to 12 is concerned. A statement from the trade fair organizers is expected on 2 March, according to the organizers of another logistics conference.

So writes Dominic Fischer, Event Marketing Manager at Dematic, where he is responsible for the "Material Handling and Logistics Conference MHLC" planned directly before LogiMAT, also in Stuttgart:

"We are still planning the realization of the event highlight with all our strength and dedication! At the moment there is no official cancellation of LogiMAT 2020, which is considered the basic building block for the event. There will be a final statement from LogiMAT 2020 on Monday afternoon / evening. This will be the basis for the decision on hosting the event, which results will be handed over to at least Tuesday, 10 AM (CET)."

In other words: A final statement is expected from LogiMAT on Monday afternoon or Monday evening. This statement would form the basis for the decision to hold the MHLC or not. This decision would then be announced by Tuesday, March 3, 10 a.m. at the latest.

The official trade fair website currently states: "LogiMAT will take place. You can rest assured that the safety and health of our trade fair participants is our top priority. We trust the assessment of the German government and the international and German health authorities. These unanimously advise caution and prevention, but currently see no reason to restrict the holding of trade fairs in Germany." And as an update:

"29.02.2020 - 17.30 In contrast to today's press report, the assessment of the responsible health authority remains unchanged. LogiMAT will take place as planned. We, as organizers, are in constant contact with the responsible authorities. So far, the health authorities see no reason to restrict the holding of trade fairs in Stuttgart. As soon as the situation changes, we will of course inform you immediately."

Little is currently known about the exhibiting companies. So far, it is known that the companies Abels & Kemmner (Aachen), Exone (Sachsenhausen), SCT (Herzogenrath), Serkem (Eging am See) and Trapo (Gescher-Hochmoor) have canceled their participation in LogiMAT.
