Let's be honest
Let's be honest: isn't it the down-to-earth attitude and openness that characterize the intralogistics industry? Telling each other the truth and then working on the best solution? Being able to have a beer together at the end of the day despite tough competition? I think so, and I'm certainly not alone.

This makes it all the more disconcerting when, on the evening of the first day of CeMAT, Deutsche Messe AG stated coram publico - in this case to the guests of the IFOY Awards - that it had been a typical trade fair Monday, that a sufficient number of visitors could only be spread out a little better and that everything would have to "settle down" first.
At first, you rub your eyes in amazement and then massage away the frown lines on your forehead, because it was foreseeable that CeMAT would not be able to get off to a good start and that the distribution of visitors to the furthest corner of the exhibition grounds would be difficult, and not just due to a lack of mass. So why hurray communication? Why not rather talk about how technology, IT and logistics are inspiring each other, especially in these turbulent times, that powerful, AI-based algorithms and magic sensors are finding their way into the "box from A to B" industry? That working together and side by side at such an important trade fair is a huge opportunity and also unique?
"... and then you massage away the frown lines on your forehead."
Instead, I heard a statement that reminded me of my previous job as a journalist in the entertainment industry, where illusionists are at home. However, the intralogistics industry doesn't need Deutsche Musik AG, it needs openness, because it - and the trade media, of course - would like nothing more than a large number of strong trade fairs in Germany.
I hereby extend the invitation to engage in dialog. materialfluss is a platform for fair and open discussion. This is also demonstrated by the round table with the IFOY winners at CeMAT, which was my personal highlight of the days in Hanover. Let's be honest!
