New Ocean Alliance Asia service in the Port of Hamburg

The TAURUS (14,424 TEU) is the first container ship in the new "Loop 7" Asia service of the "Ocean" alliance to dock in the Port of Hamburg. The service is part of the new "Day 3" product, with which the alliance of CMA CGM, Cosco, Evergreen and OOCL Allianz is entering its third year of existence.

As part of "DAY 3", Ocean is deploying 330 ships in 38 services and increasing its transport capacity to 3.8 million TEU. With Loop 7, six of the seven Asia-Northern Europe services of the Ocean Alliance call at the Port of Hamburg. A total of 21 liner services currently operate between Hamburg and the Far East, 14 of which are container liner services.

The new Asia-Northern Europe service "Loop 7" is operated by Evergreen with ten units of between 13,000 and 14,000 TEU and connects Hamburg weekly with the ports of Port Kelang, Ningbo, Shanghai, Kaohsiung, Shekou and Colombo, among others. Travel times from Colombo and Shekou to Hamburg are given as 21 and 29 days respectively. Transportation from Hamburg to Port Kelang takes 28 days. The entire round trip takes 70 days.
