Karl Gernandt, Executive Chairman of Kühne Holding AG: "As one of the anchor shareholders of the traditional global shipping company Hapag-Lloyd with its strong roots in Hamburg, our goal was to have a shareholding of a good 30 percent. We have now achieved this goal and want to contribute to ensuring that Germany's major container liner shipping company can continue on its successful course. Kühne Holding AG's commitment is of a long-term nature, and the recent increase in our shareholding underlines the confidence we have in Hapag-Lloyd AG even in times of crisis.
