Deliveries still possible at any time
JadeWeserPort Wilhelmshaven reports free capacities
Full terminals in the western ports and in other German seaports and the associated restrictions are causing annoyance among shipping customers. Wilhelmshaven says it has a solution for this.
Due to the available free capacity, JadeWeserPort Wilhelmshaven offers practical solutions that not only help customers to maintain their international supply chains undisturbed, but also, as the last port of loading on the continent, allow more time for deliveries than in other ports - and usually with a shorter transit time for the goods to their final destination. Switching the volumes to Wilhelmshaven gives the shipping and logistics industry the reliability and punctuality it is used to in its supply chain and strengthens the system. Scheduled ship departures can be achieved and cost-intensive truck transfers can be avoided. Any necessary interim storage of containers until onward transport by ship or to the recipient inland is possible at the freight village at favorable conditions.
With the liner services of the Ocean Alliance and 2M shipping consortia, the destinations of Ningbo, Busan, Xingang, Dalian, Shanghai, Singapore, Yantian, Xiamen, Hong Kong and Kwangyang in Asia can be reached directly via Wilhelmshaven. In addition, the SLB service from Sealand provides a regular connection to the ports of Mersin, Limassol, Haifa, Ashdod, Alexandria and Port Said East, as well as via transshipment to Iskenderun and Beirut in the eastern Mediterranean.
"We very much hope that customers will discover these advantages for themselves and take advantage of them, thereby contributing to an equalization of traffic that is certainly welcome for everyone involved," says Andreas Bullwinkel, Managing Director of JadeWeserPort-Marketing Gesellschaft. "Rescheduling to the CT Wilhelmshaven destination is possible without much effort, as many train transports are routed via the Maschen hub anyway and could therefore be regrouped at short notice. And truck transports are so flexible anyway that a changeover can be made at short notice," Bullwinkel continues.
