Kuehne + Nagel intends to shift its strategic focus in contract logistics in the UK to the aerospace, government and pharma business segments. Dr. Detlef Trefzger, CEO of Kuehne + Nagel International, said: "The strategic review of the contract logistics business announced over a year ago was aimed at improving profitability and increasing the focus on our scalable solutions. The sale announced today is an important milestone in the implementation of this plan. In XPO Logistics, we have found a suitable buyer for the business, also from the perspective of our customers and employees."

Completion of the transaction is subject to customary conditions, including clearance by merger control authorities, and is expected in the second half of the year.
