Hellmann expands sustainability organization

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics is expanding its "Sustainability" division and appointing Şükran Gencay and Daniel Hülemeyer as Heads of Sustainability. With the new positions at a global level, the company wants to emphasize the strategic importance of sustainability, which has also been represented on the Hellmann Management Board by Stefan Borggreve since the beginning of the year.

As Head of Sustainability - Social & Governance, Şükran Gencay will ensure that the social elements of the company's sustainability approach are continuously developed and implemented globally and that the company continues to live up to its social responsibility in the future. Gencay, who has held various management positions at Hellmann since 2020, will also play a key role in achieving the governance goals and further anchoring the area strategically within the company.

As Head of Sustainability - Environment, Daniel Hülemeyer will drive forward the decarbonization and ecological orientation in all product areas as well as with regard to Hellmann's real estate infrastructure. The main focus will be on reducing the CO2 footprint, promoting renewable energies and establishing environmentally friendly innovations, which will be driven forward in cooperation with the recently founded "Hellmann Innovation HUB". Daniel Hülemeyer has more than twelve years of experience in sustainability at Hellmann.
