For Freight remains on course for growth

For Freight has established itself in the market segment for Germany-wide retail distribution. A good two and a half years after its foundation, the Fiege subsidiary serves nine main customers as well as numerous smaller partners - and once again anticipates a significant increase in turnover for 2023.

The company can look back on a successful business year. As a spin-off of the Fashion & Lifestyle business unit of the Fiege Group, For Freight has made a name for itself with a modern business model for individual B2B transports to the point of sale. Its customers now include inner-city giants such as Zalando, New Yorker and Sportscheck. Since its foundation in April 2020, For Freight has developed into one of the largest retail networks with a focus on fashion in Germany. The company is again expecting strong sales growth in the coming year.

Managing Director Nils Kremer explains: "City center delivery is a special playing field. The major benefits we can offer customers thanks to our agile structures are individuality and flexibility. We deliver to the stores exactly when the customer wants us to, because we enable individual service and individual delivery times. In this way, we do not force our customers into a rigid system and can respond more specifically to their individual needs. We are delighted that our concept has demonstrably hit the right nerve."

For Freight relies on a modular network of different partners for Germany-wide distribution in city centers. "The size of the consignment is secondary, the focus is on the concept. We offer our service from small volumes to full truck loads - for flat and hanging textiles as well as all classic product ranges that can be found in city centers. In this way, we create reliability with appropriate and consistent quality," says Kremer. The main focus is on the fashion and lifestyle segment, but other market areas are not excluded.

For Freight is currently working on getting even more shipments onto rail wherever possible. "Like everywhere else, the issue of sustainability is becoming increasingly important in the fashion and lifestyle industry," reports Kremer. In addition, the company wants to provide customers with even more comprehensive support in future and also be a reliable partner for upstream procurement transports from relevant production countries. According to Kremer, For Freight is already relying on cooperation with other Fiege units to achieve this. "We can offer on-site services in many countries in the area of textile finishing or quality control and will consistently expand these services."
