The new location offers a total of 21,000 square meters of warehouse space for contract logistics in the food and consumer goods sector. Gunnar Scholtz, Head of DB Schenker's Güstrow branch: "Thanks to growing sales with our existing customers and good success in new business, we decided to set up an additional, central location. In Güstrow, we have found a property that meets the high demands of our customers in the food and beverage industry 100 percent. The move has enabled us to increase our total storage space by 50 percent. Our customers also benefit from the convenient location on the A19/A20 and the proximity to Rostock-Laage Airport."

The 21,000 square meters offer 23,000 rack spaces and 3,000 square meters of block storage space. There is also an external warehouse with 4,500 square meters and 1,000 square meters of office space. The warehouse is suitable for dry and frost-free storage. The new site meets all the conditions required by the IFS Logistics standard for the storage of foodstuffs.

The modernization of the property was used to convert the warehouse to energy-efficient LED lighting. A warehouse management system with interfaces to DB Schenker's transport management systems ensures transparent and fast order processing along the entire supply chain.
