Dachser expands LCL service offering

Kempten, 12.06.2018 - This year, Dachser is launching 26 new LCL (Less than Container Load) connections. LCL connections are shipments that do not fill an entire container. The company is increasing the frequency of six existing services from fortnightly to weekly departures.
In terms of time, LCL services are an interesting option: customers benefit from better planning, speed and transparency for their shipments thanks to the targeted bundling of goods and fixed container runs between the ports. For example, shipments between Bangalore and Hamburg require a transit time of 22 days.
Günther Laumann, Head of Global Ocean Freight at Dachser, comments:
"Customers who use our LCL service benefit from attractive transit times, faster availability of goods at the destination, greater flexibility and precise supply chain planning thanks to container control and the direct ship connection."
New lines in LCL groupage transport
The following fixed LCL groupage routes have recently been added: From Bremen, Dachser organizes weekly LCL services to new destinations in the USA (Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Boston, Houston, Atlanta and Charlotte); from Hamburg, Dachser offers LCL services to India (Nhava Sheva and Chennai). From June 1st there will be a connection from Hamburg to New Delhi. Conversely, there are connections from Chennai and Nhava Sheva to Hamburg. The New Delhi and Bangalore to Hamburg routes are new additions. There is another weekly service from Shanghai in China to Santos in Brazil. From Antwerp, the company organizes routes to Hong Kong, Veracruz, Singapore, Busan and Nhava Sheva.
