The ground-breaking ceremony took place on August 7 at the Isarstrasse site in the presence of Dr. Olaf Tauras, Mayor of the City of Neumünster, and Alexander Tonn, Managing Director European Logistics Germany. Tonn is responsible for the German branches of Dachser's European Logistics business line (land transportation and contract logistics for industrial goods).

Start of construction in September

Construction work is due to start at the beginning of September. The hall has a floor area of around 6,700 square meters, of which 5,000 square meters will be used for industrial goods. A separate, refrigerated area of 1,700 square meters will be used for handling foodstuffs. The hall is supplemented by a 1,000 square meter office building.

"Important transshipment point in the north"

"Neumünster will become another important transshipment point for Dachser in the very north of Germany. The new location is directly linked to our comprehensive European land transportation network," explains Alexander Tonn, Managing Director European Logistics Germany. "The new building meets the latest standards and offers secure and sustainable jobs in logistics for the region."
