Maintaining the supply chains
Corona: Timocom expands access to freight and warehouse exchange
The operator of Europe's leading freight exchange, IT company Timocom, is expanding access to its logistics system in times of crisis. "We want to make our contribution to ensuring that the population can be supplied and supply chains can be maintained even under the current exceptional circumstances," says TIMOCOM Managing Director Tim Thiermann.
- IP restrictions lifted until further notice
- Over 5,000 conversions already completed
- Delivery bottlenecks are to be avoided by accessing up to 750,000 freight and cargo space offers from all over Europe every day
Customers can now manage their transport and logistics business from their home office, regardless of location, by switching their IP-bound license after verification. In addition, Timocom is opening up its network of more than 43,000 companies to all those who currently lack a network of transport and logistics partners.
Securing the supply chain quickly and unbureaucratically
"Here too, our support will be quick and unbureaucratic," confirms Thiermann. Anyone who registers now can use Timocom's system for the entire coming quarter free of charge and without any contractual obligations. Particularly in the event of short-term supply bottlenecks or failures or a need for storage space, replacements can be found quickly from the existing customer network.
Up to 750,000 freight and loading space offers are posted and processed by Timocom every day throughout Europe. In addition, over 7,000 logistics and storage spaces are available in the warehouse exchange. "As an IT service provider to the logistics industry, we have been close to the action for more than 20 years. We also see the challenges our customers are currently facing," says Thiermann. "In this situation, we need uncomplicated and immediate solutions that help to continue to secure logistics supplies.
