System Alliance Europe and Timocom cooperate

The companies System Alliance Europe eG (SAE) and Timocom have entered into a strategic partnership. The primary aim of the collaboration is to set up a closed freight exchange, which the freight tech company will establish for Europe's largest general cargo cooperation.

The closed freight exchange allows the exclusive exchange of freight and loading space offers within the SAE network, which currently consists of 55 member companies. Its functions are specially tailored to the requirements of the alliance.

Higher capacity utilization of transports and fewer empty runs

"The closed freight exchange enables our members to place transport orders exclusively within a selected group of trustworthy partners," explains SAE CEO Tassilo Schneider. "This not only strengthens the community in the network, but also offers decisive advantages such as price sovereignty, system transparency and quality assurance through the quick and targeted selection of the right carrier."

One advantage of the closed freight exchange is the higher capacity utilization of transports and the reduction of empty runs. "Exclusive use within the SAE network strengthens members' competitiveness in the long term," says Schneider. The ability to integrate the solution into existing system landscapes also paves the way for further future-oriented digitalization solutions. Although freight offers on the closed freight exchange are only visible to the group of SAE members, they can also be placed on the Timocom marketplace if required.
