contenta takes over logistics for Simpsons chewing gum
The chewing gum manufacturer asCom Confection GmbH relies on the logistics service provider contenta to ensure that Maggie, Bart and Homer always arrive at the customer on time. The new subsidiary of Esüdro AG has been responsible for the logistics of Simpsons chewing gum - asCom's new brand - since October.
asCom, based in Walldorf near Heidelberg, was looking for a service provider that could supply customers throughout Germany reliably and quickly - for both large and small order quantities. Now contenta is responsible for the storage and quantity control of the chewing gum in cube form and supplies distributors and supermarket chains with the three flavors Bart Super Sour, Homer Peppermint and Maggie Cotton Candy. This allows the chewing gum manufacturer to concentrate on its core business. "With contenta, we have also found an experienced contract logistics provider for fine picking. The entire flow of goods runs smoothly and is transparent for us at all times. What's more, the company has a location with excellent connections and is also very close to us," explains Jennifer Meyer, Sales and Marketing Manager at asCom Confection GmbH.
