Labeling pallets on three sides without a safety fence
The new AP182 pallet labeler from Bluhm Systeme has been specially developed for labels measuring up to 150x210mm. It is therefore particularly suitable for pallet labeling on one, two or three adjacent sides of products or containers. The most important areas of application for the labeling system are palletizing stations and packaging lines in all areas of industry.
The compact system labels pallets with the aid of a dispensing stamp that can be moved over 3 axes. Freely programmable travel paths not only enable GS1-compliant pallet labeling on the front and side in just one product stop, but also the labeling of two labels next to each other on one side. In addition, three-sided labeling of pallets (front, side, back) is possible in just 2 conveyor stops. The labels can be applied either at a short distance by a blast of air and/or by direct contact of the stamp plate with the product surface. Three-sided labeling is interesting for block storage. Here, stackable crates, cartons or pallets are stacked directly on top of and next to each other in blocks - without shelves or other devices. The three-sided labeling means that at least one labeled side is always visible, regardless of the position of the pallet in the block. Pallet outputs of 120 per hour are possible with two-sided labeling and 90 per hour with three-sided labeling.
Due to its design, the AP182 is safe within the meaning of the Machinery Directive (applied standard EN415-10). It requires neither a safety fence nor a safety barrier. The label roll is positioned at an ergonomic height and is easily accessible through large operator doors. Label roll holders of up to 350 millimetres ensure long production without interruptions. The current ergonomic guidelines were also taken into account when selecting the label roll size. For the highest quality requirements, the system can be extended with an integrated barcode reader / 2D code reader.
