The remote assistance solution features a Getac Assist camera for fast live transmission, accessible via Getac's specially developed browser-based software platform. Experts worldwide can log in to annotate videos and screenshots in real time, share documents, collaborate or guide teams through complex procedures on site. This optimizes first-time fix rates, reduces downtime and support costs while increasing the efficiency of field teams.

Robust camera for better bearing detection

Unlike traditional remote assistance solutions that require headsets, the new Getac Assist camera can be worn directly on the body or fixed independently using various secure mounting options. This provides a more stable video stream and unobstructed view for responders, improving situational awareness and safety. Getac Assist cameras offer both Wi-Fi and 4G LTE capabilities for stable connectivity and provide up to 10 hours of battery life for extended, uninterrupted use. With operating temperatures from -20°C to +50°C (and storage temperatures from -40°C to +71°C), it meets IP67 and MIL-STD-810H standards and is also drop-resistant from up to six meters. Charging options include a single and a multi-docking station or a Magnetic Quickrelease safety cable.

The specially developed Getac Assist software allows field service technicians to collaborate directly with technical experts as soon as they connect to it. According to the provider, the browser-based, secure platform makes communication quick and easy: live videos, sharing documents and annotated screenshots, live chats with colleagues, recording meetings and much more. It also offers object recognition and AI redaction, which allows sensitive and/or personal information such as faces or vehicle license plates in videos and screenshots to be automatically anonymized.
