Still prepares vaccination initiative for 2,000 employees

Preparations are in full swing at Hamburg-based intralogistics company Still for its own vaccination campaign against the coronavirus. As soon as the legal and structural framework conditions allow, the vaccination line is to open at the Billbrook plant and successively enable all of the approximately 2,000 employees at the site and at the locations in the vicinity to be vaccinated.

The conceptual and infrastructural planning for the Still vaccination line has been completed and the necessary resources have been made available by the company. As soon as a sufficient quantity of vaccines is available for the company medical vaccination and the legal prioritization allows it, the vaccination offensive will start at Still.

"As a company that acts responsibly, we have been doing our utmost to protect the health of our employees, customers and partners since the beginning of the pandemic," explains Still company doctor Gesine Büge. "If we can now help to further contain the spread of the coronavirus and protect more people from falling ill through a quick and pragmatic vaccination initiative, then we will do our best here too and provide resources, premises and expertise."

For Still, there is no question of prioritizing those who ensure smooth operations at the customer's premises, on the vehicles or in production on a daily basis. "It goes without saying that the first people to be offered a vaccination are those who work in service and production and therefore have no opportunity to work from home. Last but not least, we are also protecting our customers," continues Gesine Büge.

Comprehensive information as the basis for the vaccination campaign
The vaccination campaign is supported by a broad internal information campaign. Via the intranet, mailings, a dedicated landing page on the Group intranet as well as notices and flyers, employees receive transparent information about the coronavirus vaccination and the opportunity to register directly. This is because Still is aware that comprehensive information is an important prerequisite for trust in the vaccination and for a successful vaccination campaign. In addition, all employees will again receive detailed medical advice in direct connection with the vaccination, and the KION Group is planning comparable vaccination campaigns at other locations in addition to the Still site in Hamburg. KION's Germany-wide vaccination strategy envisages a start as soon as possible - provided that the conditions are created promptly by the federal and state governments.
