Ernesto Dominguez becomes new President & CEO of Toyota Material Handling Europe

On April 1, Ernesto Domínguez will take over the position of President and CEO at Toyota Material Handling Europe. He succeeds Matthias Fischer, who is leaving the company for personal reasons.

Ernesto Domínguez was born in Tarragona, Spain, in 1966 and joined Toyota Material Handling Spain (formerly BT Spain) as Managing Director in 2000. In 2016, Ernesto Domínguez assumed his current position as Managing Director of Toyota Material Handling France.

Toyota Material Handling Europe's future strategy will focus on automation and connectivity, where the Group sees the greatest opportunities for growth alongside its core business.

Matthias Fischer led Toyota Material Handling Europe as President and CEO for eight years, during which time he was able to increase turnover by 53 percent. Prior to this, he was Managing Director of Toyota Material Handling Germany from 2007 to 2012 and successfully implemented the merger of BT Germany and Toyota Gabelstapler Germany.
