Reaching the goal with robust teeth
Precisely synchronized movements and linear positioning play an important role in conveyor technology. Timing belts from Habasit ensure precise transportation.
Precise timing, fast belt changes and reliable operation are essential requirements for conveyor belts in material flow. This is where timing belts from the Habasync product family from Habasit come into their own: The durable belts ensure the exact positioning of components and are also suitable for stop-and-go operation. With special coatings and standardized or individually designed driver profiles, they can be used for a wide variety of transport and drive tasks. Clever end connections ensure smooth belt changes.
Flexible adaptation to the conveyed goods
A wide variety of goods have to be transported in all areas of production. They must reach their destination with pinpoint accuracy. Habasit, a supplier of conveyor and processing belts, is continuously developing new materials, processes and customization options in order to provide suitable timing belts and conveyor belts for even the most demanding part transport applications.
Habasync timing belts are designed for a wide range of requirements. A selection of surface coatings - such as HAL, HAG, HAT-W, Linatex, PU yellow, Supergrip or PU film - allow the conveyor to be flexibly adapted to the respective conveyed goods. Individual profiles manufactured to customer specifications are used to separate, sort and precisely position components. Habasit also manufactures flights in special shapes and dimensions as well as timing belts with milled or perforated holes.
Surface properties that are special
The widest timing belts available on the market offer plenty of space with a width of up to 600 millimetres. The Habasync wide timing belts have a tooth pitch of T10 or H and are made of thermoplastic polyurethane with an aramid tension member. Individual configurations are possible depending on the intended use. The thermoplastic polyurethane with a hardness of 88 to 92 Shore A - depending on the type of base material - is a material with special properties: it is resistant to oil, grease or chemical agents as well as hydrolysis-resistant and FDA/EU food-approved.
Various end connections
The manufacturer has developed timing belt end splice solutions for quick and easy maintenance processes and belt changes: Pin Joint combines the safety of an end connection with the advantage of quick installation. All common pitches and widths from 16 to 150 millimetres can be equipped with special steel pins for the end connection. The positive belt properties in terms of shape or tooth engagement are retained. The tooth profile remains unchanged; there are also no restrictions in terms of surface coatings, the supplier promises. The Habasync Hinge Joint mechanical end connection enables quick timing belt replacement based on a stable hinge connection. This is integrated into the timing belt and ensures extremely easy handling when changing the belt. As with the pin joint, all teeth are retained with this technology. The integrated processing of the hinges makes it possible to apply carriers continuously. The spacing remains unchanged and the timing is not affected. Assembly is simple and possible without special tools. For large machines and systems that are difficult to access, the use of one of these end connections can eliminate the need for time-consuming disassembly or on-site conversion. Habasync timing belts with hinge joint or pin joint can also be customized in terms of coating.
Spirals for more strength
The endless Habasync Flex timing belts are suitable for particularly heavy loads. Spiral-wound tension members ensure greater tensile strength and power transmission compared to timing belts with an end splice. The seamless design of these Flex timing belts enables precise positioning over the entire belt length and gentle conveying without damage or bottlenecks.
