More sales and profit for Interroll

Interroll can be pleased with its good figures for the first half of the year: the conveyor technology specialist once again achieved strong sales growth of 8.4 percent and a disproportionately high increase in operating profit (EBIT) of 23.3 percent.

The company's net sales reached a new high of CHF 260.8 million in the first quarter. Interroll was able to increase its operating result (EBIT) by a further 23.3% compared to the first half of 2018. In addition to net sales growth, a high level of cost and investment discipline also contributed to this, according to the company. Incoming orders amounted to 299.0 million Swiss francs.

At 58.7 million Swiss francs, consolidated sales in the Rollers product group were 7.3% above the previous year's record. Consolidated incoming orders rose by 2.8% compared to the same period of the previous year. The growth in orders in the first half of the year was driven by the EMEA (+7.5%) and Americas regions.

The Drives product group recorded an increase of 6.7% compared to the previous year. Consolidated incoming orders fell slightly by 1.5%. RollerDrive in particular recorded sales growth with an increase of 19.9%. The Conveyors & Sorters product group generated consolidated sales of CHF 83.9 million in the first half of the year (17.5% more than in the same period of the previous year).
