The high level of investment in development and internationalization is paying off in the form of incoming orders - including from Germany, England, Brazil and the USA. The order books are also well filled in the long term due to investment programs from existing customers," explains Knapp CEO Gerald Hofer. In the coming financial year, almost 1,000 new colleagues are to be added to the approximately 5,000 employees, around half of them in Austria.

"During the difficult phase of the first lockdown and afterwards, thanks to the strong commitment of our employees and our safety concept, we were able to maintain production in-house without interruption and thus continue to carry out our customer projects and all services," reports Knapp COO Franz Mathi. Our intelligent storage systems made an important contribution to the safe supply of people all over the world, including in the food retail and pharmaceutical sectors. This mission inspired the entire team and made the Knapp spirit particularly tangible.

Expansion of the Austrian locations, 500 jobs to be filled

In addition to the headquarters in Hart bei Graz, there are further locations in Leoben, Dobl and Raaba-Grambach, as well as an engineering office in Klagenfurt. Founded in 1952, Knapp is a secure employer for generations. "We offer a wide range of career opportunities and anyone who starts with us as an apprentice, for example, has a variety of training and further education options and job prospects. There are enough challenges to keep you busy," emphasizes Christian Grabner, CFO at Knapp. With the continuous expansion of the locations, the company is primarily looking for specialists who have completed an apprenticeship, technical college or degree in software/IT, mechatronics, metal technology, electrical engineering or business administration. "We are looking for newcomers and professionals who can work with us on international projects from Canada to Australia."
