Big bag conditioner with double sheet
The new hydraulic block-buster big bag conditioner from Flexicon has raised arches which, thanks to their extra height, make it much easier to insert and remove palletized big bags with a forklift truck.
The conditioner loosens hygroscopic chemicals, spice mixes, heat-sensitive products and other bulk materials that have solidified during storage and shipping, returning the material to a flowable state so that big bag discharge stations can then empty the material through bag discharge spouts. A hydraulically operated, height-adjustable turntable works in conjunction with two hydraulic cylinders to compress the opposite sides of the big bag at different heights, rotate the bag 90 degrees and then repeat the processing cycle.
The number and pressure of hydraulic cylinder actuations, the height of the turntable and the number of 90-degree rotations can be programmed by the user via the human-machine interface on the control panel. The conditioner, which is closed on four sides, is equipped with extra-high, safety-locked doors. All device functions are deactivated when the doors are open. The system's hydraulic pump can be mounted on the outside of the safety enclosure or remotely and only requires a power connection for operation.
The conditioner is available as a stand-alone unit and is suitable for big bags of all common sizes. It is also available in stainless steel for hygienic and corrosive applications and in configurations that are integrated into big bag emptying stations, thus reducing the cost, space requirements and loading time of separate units.
