The expansion is part of the strategic cooperation with Henan Province and Zhengzhou Airport. "With the expansion from four to six weekly flights between our global hub in Baku and Zhengzhou, we are launching the new phase of our strategic cooperation with the government of Henan Province and Zhengzhou Airport," said Wolfgang Meier, President and CEO of Silk Way West Airlines.

Following a meeting with high-ranking representatives of the Henan government, it was agreed to further strengthen the cooperation in order to pave the way for a significant increase in frequencies between the two hubs. "We have succeeded in establishing ourselves as one of the leading cargo airlines in Zhengzhou within a very short time. We aim to further increase tonnage and flights as Zhengzhou provides the perfect platform for us to grow in terms of our core competencies. In the future, we want to serve the entire flight route along the new Silk Road," adds Meier.
