Osnabrück, 20.10.2017 - Change of leadership at the top of Hellmann Automotive Logistics: On October 31, the previous head and founder of Hellmann Automotive Logistics, Bernd Oevermann, will retire after more than 30 years with the company. Martin Wehner (left) will take over as Global Vice President of the Industry Solution for the automotive sector.
Wehner (41) has been working for Hellmann Worldwide Logistics for 15 years. He began his career in 2002 as a team leader in air and sea freight at the Hamburg site. In 2005, Martin Wehner moved to the Automotive Unit at the Group headquarters in Osnabrück. There, as Global Sales Manager, he developed important accounts for automotive manufacturers and suppliers, particularly in the Asian region. In addition, Wehner was instrumental in successfully establishing Hellmann Automotive in the contract logistics market.
As of October 31, Martin Wehner will succeed Bernd Oevermann, the long-standing head of Industry Solution, as head of Hellmann Automotive Logistics. The outgoing manager had responded to the increasing demand for special industry solutions from an automotive supplier by founding Hellmann Automotive Logistics in 1998. As requirements grew, the business expanded continuously on an international level. In 2000, a joint venture was founded with the Rudolph Group in the United Kingdom and in 2006 also in Dubai. Today, Hellmann is a global player in the automotive sector and is one of the world's leading providers. red
