Logistics service provider Group7 expands

Frankfurt, 15.06.2018 - The logistics company Group7 is expanding. A new logistics center is being built in Frankfurt Kelsterbach. The topping-out ceremony was celebrated in the Mönchhof industrial estate in the immediate vicinity of Frankfurt Airport and Frankfurter Kreuz, the largest transport hub in Europe, with numerous guests from politics, business and the media.
In addition to scanning technologies, the new logistics center will also use driverless transport systems and 3D printing technology. At the event, 230 guests gained an impression of the construction progress of the 25,500 square meter multi-user warehouse and a 1,700 square meter office building.
"I would like to thank everyone involved, especially the city of Kelsterbach, for their great support in implementing this construction project. The construction work is proceeding according to plan and we are looking forward to moving in in the third quarter of 2018," says Günther Jocher, Group7 CEO.
A high-bay warehouse with more than 12,000 storage spaces for Euro pallets will be used for the long-term and flexible storage of goods. The logistics center will be used for contract logistics tasks and as a central transshipment and consolidation warehouse for international import and export air freight shipments.
