Cheers in Lower Bavaria
NeoLog receives "Ergonomics Innovation Award"
The Landshut-based company NeoLog has been awarded the "Ergonomics Innovation Prize" by the Nuremberg Institute for Health and Ergonomics (IGR). This award confirms the concept of the "service oasis" represented by the lean manufacturing experts from Lower Bavaria: Customers who order individual production and logistics equipment receive customized solutions that are designed and built according to ergonomic aspects, among other things.
Ergonomics, a specialist field of occupational science, is a key component when equipment needs to be customized. NeoLog manufactures solutions from the Logiform (steel) and Aluform D28/33 (aluminum) tube clamping systems. For each project, processes have to be mapped and translated into equipment, with occupational safety, health and safety and work efficiency being the assessment criteria: "We are delighted to have received this award from the IGR," says Christian Schulz, Managing Partner at NeoLog. The award "confirms our approach, because customers not only receive tailor-made equipment for processes and goods transportation - they also receive facilities that serve material flow and people."
Dr. Christoph Veitlbauer serves customers at store floor level with NeoLog's "Lepo" consulting concept, which stands for "live, real, personal, open". The second managing partner, who has a doctorate in ergonomics, explains: "When customers order Lepo, ergonomics is always a key component. There is almost always an opportunity to reduce human movement and strain." It is therefore a real step forward for workers when equipment is custom-made so that employees do not have to adapt, as is the case with standard products: "Every Service Oasis offers customers the full range of ergonomic expertise," says Veitlbauer. "And ergonomics in particular is the basis for employee health, which results in satisfaction and increased motivation," adds Schulz. A concept that also convinced the IGR expert jury.
