Logistics 4.0 at Bizerba's digital trade fair stand

Although Bizerba will not be represented at LogiMAT this year, visitors to the Bizerba website can obtain information at a "digital trade fair stand" specially designed for the logistics industry under the motto "A different kind of trade fair".

New technologies are already finding their way into the warehouse, transportation and information logistics of many companies. Autonomous systems coordinate production processes independently, intelligent goods control their own transport routes and smart glasses are merging the real world with the digital world. In order to remain competitive in the future, companies must be open to these changes and adapt internal processes and structures. This is the only way they can quickly and easily dock onto future platforms and structures. The solution: intelligently networked hardware, software and service concepts.

Process control of tomorrow

Wherever processes and workflows need to be accelerated and automated, innovative systems with integrated software provide a better overview and transparency. In this context, Bizerba will be exhibiting various load receptors and terminals at the digital trade fair stand. The latter range from solutions for simple weighing and control functions to universal industrial terminals for efficient production data acquisition.

The industrial terminals in the iS line are equally suitable for checking, picking, packing, delivering and documenting as well as for stocktaking. They ensure that weights are determined quickly and accurately and display the most important weighing and process data using stored reference weights, numbers and graphics. In addition, they support incoming and outgoing goods inspections in the warehouse, help to maintain statistical process controls and are used to control dynamic processes in the field of continuous scales.

Visitors to the digital trade fair stand can also see the performance of dynamic high-performance scales for themselves - including the CWL-L checkweigher or catchweigher, a globally unique model that is also capable of outputting data in XML format. The CWL-L can be flexibly combined with terminals such as the iS30 or iS50 Industrial Weighing Terminal and, as a catchweigher, reliably checks parameters such as fill quantity, piece weight and completeness and can be quickly and easily configured and parameterized using the supplied software configuration tool. Program sequences such as completeness and picking checks can also be set via the software.

A new generation of fully automatic labelers also helps to meet the increased challenges associated with Logistics 4.0. The GLM-Ievo 40, for example, is the ideal solution wherever top logistical performance is required and impresses with its flexibility, robustness and precise results. The network-compatible fully automatic labeling machine was specially designed for crates, cartons and large containers and labels products with high weights and volumes. Thanks to its modular design, it can be configured according to individual needs and adapted to a wide range of requirement profiles depending on the environment.

Forward-looking, effective, digital

In order to reduce costs and increase productivity, innovative hardware solutions and the digitalization of internal company processes are required. The advantages of digitally networked production become very clear during operation - new processes such as predictive maintenance and corresponding software such as the BRAIN2 industrial software from Bizerba are of crucial importance in this context.
