Robotics for retail logistics
Dematic will be presenting its automation solutions in the fields of robotics and artificial intelligence (AI) for the first time at the Robotics4Retail Conference 2019 (R4R) in Cologne. Fields of application for automation with a focus on robotics in retail logistics will be discussed there on September 4 and 5.
In her presentation on the first day of the event, Winnie Ahrens, Senior Sales Manager at Dematic, will give interested parties an insight into a material flow with integrated robot intelligence. On the second day, the e-commerce expert will discuss practical applications and trends in automation with inventors, scientists and users.

"Artificial intelligence and robotics offer future-oriented automation potential for retail logistics and e-commerce in particular," says Winnie Ahrens. "At R4R, we will be showing how these trends can be used specifically in intralogistics in order to make the most of them for your own business and increase efficiency."
New business division for robotics
Last year, Dematic founded the "Robotics Center of Excellence", a business unit specializing in the development and technology of robot-assisted automation. Visitors to the R4R will be able to see the results for themselves. In addition to the exhibition, practical presentations on technology trends in retail are also part of the R4R program.
