Pick by Light, and wear-free
KBS Industrieelektronik is presenting new wear-free modules for light-controlled picking and sorting at the trade fair. With "LTouch", the pick-by-light experts have integrated the acknowledgement function in the form of a touch-sensitive sensor into the seven-color eye-catching light.

This eliminates the need for the mechanical acknowledgement button, which is pressed by the employee at the end of a picking or sorting process on the shelf compartment. Instead of pressing a button, simply touching the eye-catching light is sufficient. All modules can be equipped with the L-Touch function on request. This also applies to the newly developed PTF-LC-1 module, which has an LC display with liquid crystals for displaying multi-line information such as the picking location or the quantity to be picked. "Our new products make KBS solutions even more attractive, which is reflected in increased inquiries from the USA," says Michael Weiser, Head of Sales at KBS. With this in mind, all KBS products have had the UL ("Underwriter Laboratories") test mark, which is comparable to the German TÜV, since 2015. When asked about the prospects for market share in North America, Weiser replies with a grin: "Yes, we can".
