KASTO: KASTOpick bar
With the KASTOpick bar robot solution, KASTO presents a separating system that picks and delivers flat, square and round material as well as round and profile tubes unmanned. The solution has been nominated as materialfluss Product of the Year 2025 in Category 1: Storage and picking technology.
KASTOpick bar is available for new systems or for retrofitting to existing storage systems. Metal sheets are stacked neatly on top of each other on load carriers and have been separated for many years using a manipulator such as KASTOpick sheet. This is much more difficult with a chaotic long goods cassette. Handling non-oriented objects is challenging because their position and orientation are difficult to predict. This requires complex recognition and adaptation in order to pick and place them correctly.
Kasto offers a smart separation solution for this problem: KASTOpick bar optimizes the removal of magnetic blank and black material - in the new warehouse as well as in existing systems. This allows users to remove and manipulate different bars from storage cassettes unmanned in three-shift operation, i.e. 24/7. In this way, users can conveniently link several production steps.
