New order for Heber Fördertechnik
New logistics center for medical technology company
The medical technology manufacturer Hager & Meisinger, with a range of around 12,000 products, is building a new logistics center at its main site in Neuss. At the beginning of the year, Heber Fördertechnik was awarded the contract to implement the project as the general contractor with overall responsibility.
Sales partners in over 100 countries make Meisinger an internationally represented medical technology company. To optimize order picking and material flows, Hager & Meisinger relies on pick & pack workstations and an AutoStore solution implemented by project partner Element Logic. Heber Fördertechnik's scope of delivery also includes a warehouse management system which, in addition to the complete integration of the AutoStore system, also includes a connection to the customer's ERP system proAlpha.
In addition to the automated areas, the overall concept also integrates manual racking systems, from which picking is carried out using mobile data collection devices according to the "man-to-goods" system. Work on the building is currently in full swing. Completion and go-live are planned for spring 2021.
