Groundbreaking ceremony for new Swisslog headquarters in Aarau

The ground-breaking ceremony for the new Swisslog headquarters in Aarau took place on March 27, 2025. Around 320 employees will move into the modern office building from October 2026. The new construction project is being implemented by Kowe Immobilien AG. Swisslog will move into the building as a tenant, marking an important step in the company's further development.

"This new building is an important milestone for both companies. It not only ensures a modern working environment for Swisslog, but is also an important contribution to the development of the Telli district," says Hanspeter Hilfiker, Mayor of Aarau. "We are delighted that Swisslog is moving into Telli as a major player and thus contributing to the positive development of the entire area."

Stronger roots in the region

Our employees can look forward to an attractive location in Aarau. The move will not only create a new, modern working environment, but will also help to anchor us even more firmly in the region as an employer," says Jens Schmale, CEO of Swisslog. "As a location, Aarau offers us the best conditions to further expand our position as a leading company in the logistics sector."

The ground-breaking ceremony is particularly significant as it coincides with Swisslog's 125th anniversary. "It is a special moment to underline our growth and our focus on the future with a new headquarters - especially in our anniversary year," adds Schmale.
